ABSTRACT

Service Learning is a new and exciting opportunity given to many students in schools today. Not only does it allow students to focus on helping others through community service activities, it also links community service to the classroom. Through involvement of students, enhancing the community, classroom implementation, and life long experiences, we see how the impact service-learning projects have on students. It takes a lot of planning from teachers and community members, but allows students to experience a chance to change someone else’s life, and even their own.
